Here for You Every Step of the Way
Whether you're a start up company looking for help in setting up your system to track what your business needs or if you're an established small business looking for bookkeeping or payroll personnel, you've come to the right place.
With over 80 years of combined experience with small businesses and corporate, Remote Bookkeeping Services was started with the focus on helping small businesses.
As most small businesses are aware bookkeeping isn't always a full-time or even what's considered normal part-time position with a minimum of 20 hours per week. Finding qualified personnel is tough and a lot are left with outsourcing to CPA firms who've hired bookkeepers on their staff, but charging a high fee or minimum.
With us you get quality service, accurate reports and more while only paying for the hours needed. We also only provide services to small business. Whether your business is in construction, service, farming, and so on.
We are also 100% remote based, meaning if you're not local to us we can still assist, but if you are local we don't need an office at your location to operate.
Our owner has been working remotely since 2018!
One of the top favorites with our clients is we customize our services based on your company's specific needs. Which means you don't need to pay for unnecessary hours to keep an employee busy and we solely focus on what you need to maintain accuracy.
Service That Make a Differences
Efficiency
Our goal is to not only provide accurate accounting, bookkeeping and payroll services, but do so in the most efficient way possible utilizing software programs to help aid in less time on both parties but also provide more accurate reporting.
Ethical
Our business practices as well as staff abide by not only the laws, but our own standards. When dealing with accounting in general but also other businesses information which can be deemed confidential, we hold ourselves to higher standards. All of our practices are kept confidential between us and our clients. This is also provided in writing via a contract service agreement to keep our clients minds at ease.
Affordable
While we do have a base hourly rate in which all clients start off at during our on-boarding process, we do offer contract pricing with a weekly minimum which helps reduce the overall cost while still obtaining the same great service. This drops the hourly cost once we are able to gauge the time it will take to handle all the tasks you're wanting us to handle for your business.

What do your charge for services? We have two rates. Our default per hour is $60.00 Every client starts off at this rate. After onboarding and the initial process we provide the option to sign up for an hourly guarantee. This is where we've taken the services & job duties you hired us to perform, we've performed them to get a base amount of normal hours required (usually takes 2-8 weeks depending on your business size and what you're looking for) Once this average is obtained, we'll provide you with the option to sign up for the weekly guarantee which is similar to paying an employee salary. Whatever our average is let's say it's 5.75 hours per week, is what you'll need to sign up for and the hourly rate will be reduced to $50.00 per hour. We do have roll-over hours under this guarantee so if there's a light week of work and we only worked 2 hours then 3.75 would roll over. If we go over the hours allotted for a special project or you have weeks that are heavier due to invoicing, etc. then if we went over not only the guarantee but any available rollover hours your weekly invoice would be for the hours worked as we bill one week in the rears. We do submit weekly "timesheets" with our invoices for all clients to review regardless of hours worked. If we ever increase our rates, we do guarantee that our clients on a weekly guarantee will always be $10.00 less than our default hourly rate. We also provide notices by November 1st for any increase or changes to take affect on January 1st as per our contracts.

Will you handle taxes? No! We are not tax professionals. We handle what's referred to as the grunt work, the day to day tasks for your bookkeeping/accounting needs, but we leave the taxes to either yourselves or your CPA.

Why don't I just pay my CPA to do the service? For starters your CPA isn't handling the bookkeeping. They're not even trained to do so. Most CPA's don't know how to do bookkeeping. If their firm is offering a bookkeeping service they've hired a bookkeeper to handle it for them. You're basically paying a higher price. The second thing is most CPA firms have a specific way they want your business books to be set up which may not be how you want your books set up. If you don't care, then it's not a big deal. But if you want specific reports for tracking a certain service or goods sold and you want it broken down (i.e., you have 12 versions of one product) your CPA typically will not set up all 12 to be tracked it will be one and you'll need to keep track for specialized reports either through another system or by hand costing you more time and money. We've essentially taken out the middle man and when you hire us you receive an account manager who you will be primarily working with on a day to day basis.

What states do you service? While we're currently located just outside of Louisville, Kentucky we have clients in multiple states. If you're a small business looking for bookkeeping or payroll services and are willing for the work to be done remotely we recommend reaching out. While each state may vary slightly for their payroll or sales tax filings, we cater our services to your business needs. Since everything is set up through your business, you're simply providing us access to manage the job duties involved with the service you're requesting we perform. But yes, if you're located in a different we will still provide service.
-
Will you provide short term contract work?Yes. If you have a bookkeeper or payroll personnel who is going to be out on leave for an extended period of time (1, 3, 6 months is the normal) then yes we can assist during that time.
-
Will you provide service to larger businesses?Short answer is No! We designed our business to help small businesses. Larger businesses have an easier time finding in-house staff to manage their accounting and payroll needs, they also have larger budgets to employee qualified full-time staff which smaller businesses do not. Our business is designed to provide the service to smaller businesses who do not need someone full time or even what's considered normal part time (usually a minimum of 20 hours per week). Most companies we work with would be considered a small to medium sized company, but their accounting and payroll needs only average 5-10 hours per week. Other smaller companies such as property rentals, Air BnB's, farmers, etc. typically only need about 3-8 hours per month.

What type of businesses can you provide service to?Just about any business that's out there. The basics of accounting and payroll are similar no matter what type of business you're in. With that said, each business, even within the same industry, usually have things set up a little differently. For example a construction company and cleaning company are both a service the basic COA will be similar to a point, but typically with construction there's material + labor with quotes which lead to job costing and there can be multiple type's of "services" you want to track for reports to know what area sells or profits the most vs another, whereas with cleaning you may only have a flat hourly rate and want to track commercial properties vs residential but don't track billable expenses or worry about "job costing". If we're not familiar will your business model we can still assist, we would just do research on your type of business type as well as have a deeper discussion with the owner to see what in addition to the basics they want tracked for reporting purposes.
